Buying Czech real estate has become easier for European Union and United States citizens since the Czech Republic joined the EU in 2004. Since then, investments in Central European property, especially in the Czech Republic capital of Prague, have appreciated considerably. There is also an anticipated increase in property values when the Czech Republic converts its currency from the Koruna into Euros in approximately 2011.

This economic opportunity, as well as the beauty of Prague, has inspired the goal of owning real estate in the Czech Republic.

We invite you to join us often as this site explores the process of acquiring property in the Czech Republic by actually buying real estate in Prague and Brno, the two largest cities in the Czech Republic. (We will also occasionally add articles about the changing landscape of Central Europe and the purchasing of property in neighboring countries.)

EDITORS NOTE: I will be writing this blog anonymously so the meetings, contacts, and information will not be compromised by my identity. I ultimately want all responses to be to me as a consumer, not a reporter or critic (although I will strive to use journalistic techniques and ethics in reporting this process). For you, the reader, I will only divulge information about me as it is relevant to the topic at hand. Personal biographical information will be revealed as the various goals of the venture(s) are achieved, if warranted.

In some cases, I will only identify "sources" if their own information or advice is not proprietary (and won't compromise their own earnings ability), or if they give their expressed permission. I expect to be paying an occasional consulting fee, which will be disclosed, so you may evaluate your own level of interest or action in financial terms as well as the intangible elements that go into such a personal decision as investing one's own money.

I ultimately will be entering into business relationships with the various entities, of course, as we consummate these deals and this web site grows. I will also divulge these relationships as they occur.
